Teeth Whitening
Smith Dental Team has several ways to help brighten your smile.
It all depends on how bright you want your smile to be and how much time you want it to take. It is also important that teeth and gums are healthy enough for whitening.
Whitening Strips
These are easy to use and cost effective and usually require only one appointment. You can purchase professional grade whitening strips at our office and take them home and use them at your convenience. Whitening strips are a great way to start whitening. They are perfect for the person who likes the color and appearance of their teeth, and just wants them to be a little brighter.
Whitening Trays
This method is great for improving the color and brightness of teeth. They are generally more powerful and effective than whitening strips. Patients who really want the appearance of their teeth to improve more than a few shades of color and brightness should use whitening trays. Whitening trays generally take one to two more short appointments than whitening strips. First, impressions are made for your custom trays. Then you’ll pick up the custom trays and whitening material from our office, and follow up with an appointment to check your progress.
OTC (over the counter) Whitening
Whitening options that you can purchase online or over the counter are getting better. This can be a good way to start the whitening process but be careful as it’s hard to know what quality you are getting. Whitening can also do permanent damage to our teeth if they are not healthy enough to do whitening.
