Dr. Katie’s Product Recommendations
I brush twice daily using a Quip electric toothbrush. I have used both the Sonicare and Oral B electric toothbrushes in the past and love how they made my teeth feel, but I like the smaller design of the Quip since it is battery operated and it takes up no more counter space than a manual toothbrush.
After trying many different types of toothpaste, my favorite is still Colgate Total Clean Mint. I love the taste and how my mouth feels afterwards. For patients with sensitive teeth, I would recommend using a sensitive toothpaste such as Sensodyne or any other brand marketed for sensitive teeth.
I floss nightly using either Glide Floss or the Listerine Ultraclean Access Flosser if I am feeling lazy. Once you start getting in the habit of flossing regularly, your gums (and hygienists) will thank you!
Finally, once or twice a week I use ACT Fluoride Mouth Rinse. This just helps strengthen and protect my teeth.
